**Eagles Fly High in Preseason Opener, Jalen Hurts Shines**

The Philadelphia Eagles kicked off their 2024 NFL preseason campaign with a resounding 24-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens at Lincoln Financial Field last night. The Eagles’ high-powered offense, led by quarterback Jalen Hurts, proved too much for the Ravens to handle, as they piled up 394 yards of total offense.

Hurts, who is looking to build on last season’s breakout performance, was nearly flawless in his playing time, completing 17 of 20 passes for 215 yards and two touchdowns. The second-year quarterback also added 43 yards on the ground, showcasing his dual-threat abilities that make him a nightmare for opposing defenses to contend with.

“I’m feeling good, the offense is clicking, and we’re all on the same page,” Hurts said in a post-game interview. “We’ve got a long way to go, but this is a great start.”

Wide receiver DeVonta Smith was Hurts’ favorite target, hauling in five receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown. The Eagles’ receiving corps, which was expected to be a major area of concern, looked sharp and cohesive, with other receivers like Quez Watkins and Jalen Reagor also making significant contributions.

The Eagles’ defense, which was stout in the first half, allowed the Ravens to score a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter. However, it was too little, too late, as the Eagles had already built a comfortable 24-3 lead.

With the win, the Eagles move to 1-0 in preseason play, setting them up for a crucial matchup against the New England Patriots next week.
