Bears’ Johnson: QB Williams week‑to‑week, likely to miss time – ESPN
The Bears announced that quarterback Williams will be evaluated on a week‑to‑week basis and is likely to miss time. The decision follows a recent injury and is part of the team’s effort to manage player health and roster stability. The front office said the approach will allow the organization to monitor Williams’ progress closely and avoid a premature return that could jeopardize his long‑term health. The Bears will rely on other quarterbacks in the depth chart during Williams’ absence. The announcement reflects the team’s commitment to player welfare and proactive injury management.
