**Phillies’ Winning Streak Snapped in Thrilling Fashion**

The Philadelphia Phillies saw their four-game winning streak come to an end last night in a heart-stopping 6-5 loss to the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. In a game that was full of twists and turns, the Phillies fought valiantly but ultimately came up short against a determined Cubs team.

The Phillies took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning thanks to a two-run homer from Bryce Harper, but the Cubs quickly responded with a pair of runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning. The two teams continued to trade blows, with the Phillies taking a 4-3 lead in the top of the sixth, only to see the Cubs retake the lead with a two-run homer of their own in the bottom of the inning.

The Phillies were unable to recover from the deficit, despite a valiant effort from their bullpen. Closer Corey Knebel took the loss, giving up a run on two hits in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Despite the loss, there were plenty of positives to take away from the game for Phillies fans. Harper continued to show his dominance at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs scored. Shortstop Trea Turner also had a solid game, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

The Phillies will look to bounce back tonight against the Cubs in the second game of their three-game series. First pitch is set for 7:05 PM EST at Wrigley Field.
